Bristol, Rhode Island Celebrates the Fourth of July

The oldest patriotic tradition nationally known
Taking place in
Founded in 1785 the first Independence Day celebration
In
I will take you to a place nicknamed so befitting
"
Historic town of
Having the oldest continuous July 4th celebration.
The day before the 4th, I will give you a tour
To
And point to you where fireworks best to view
Along the waterfront in
I will take you down to
Music is heard when the sun is down and dark
Where children celebrate gleefully playing around
Where grown ups hum to the beat of the sound.
Bugle marching bands, floats, official souvenirs
Celebrate Independence Day with patriotic speakers,
Every year approximately 20,000 gather anticipating
Building crowd comes as early as five in the morning.
The colorful parade is about 2 l/2 miles moving
Sea of flags waving, crowded streets welcoming
Parade route is colorfully lined red, white and blue.
Enthusiastic citizens watching, viewing with awe.
If I can take you to one of the best places to celebrate,
Then I will take you to Bristol where we can truly appreciate
The Declaration of Independence, a document so eloquent
"Firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence.
That all men are created equal, that they are endowed
by their Creator with certain unalienable rights
that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
The above are the reasons what Fourth of July to me means.
