Cinquain Poems

Water

Faucet gushing

Quenching thirsty human

Bathing, drinking, cleansing, washing

Consumed.

Brown Owl

Nocturnal bird

Perched on church steeple

Round eyes roving observing down

People.

Mute Swan

Bright white plumage

Heaviest waterfowl

Less vocal, not always silent

In flight.

Tarsier

Smallest kind

Loud piercing single note

Call, nocturnal solitary

Monkey.

Smile

Spreading joy

Contagious, traveling,

Eradicating frowning face

Youthful.

Hi Normm.
Thank you so much for commenting and reading and appreciating my poem.  It is a pleasure to know that someone likes my poem.  There is another poetic form called Haiku Poem (Japanese) wherein you are to portray an image to the reader in 17 syllables in three lines. It will be a challenge for me to do this, so I will be looking forward to your comments.
God bless.
Best regards to you and yours,

fading, sinking

resigned as sunlight approaches...

Hi Stan.
Thank you for your kind words.  I appreciate your reading and commenting on my poem.  Poems are expression of ones soul, if you read it slowly and feel it, you will be surprised what it can do. LOL

Hi Aunt Nenit,

The titles  are well related to each other except maybe for water(?). Nice work of art.

Hi Edwin, Thank you for stopping by, reading and commenting. I know what you mean about the water. A question was asked in this site if water can kill you. My answer was, if it is a body of water such as the tsunami, or flash flood, or tidal wave, the answer is yes. Water also destroy a lot of things, valuable and invaluable. I am so sorry to hear about the flash flood in your place. I hope the clean-up and restoration will be immediate. God bless. Love and prayers, Aunt Nenet
