How to Cope When You Lose a Loved One

Upon the picnic bench you laid down still
Surrounded by people who knew you well
Among your friends who hold you dear
Witnessed your final breath it was hard to bear.
The grass and flower shared the pain we felt
The sorrow and anguish in our hearts dwelt
The ache that we dealt on your passing on
You told us, "Life without me keep going on."
The lily white snowdrifts you will no longer see.
But you will remain in our hearts, you will be
Forever here when the snowmelt are plentiful
Settling, wrapping coldness feeling, mournful.
You will no longer feel the heat of the sun
But all summer long you had so much fun
In a cabin you stayed near a lake serenading
With friends and relatives catching, fishing.
You will no longer see the red and golden leaves
Falling from the mighty autumn-ready trees
Falling, joining, sorrowful, mourning of our loss
The memory of you will gather no moss.
Early rest has come your way, we will all go one day
It is sad to see you go before us and walked away
We will enjoy each moment the God-given life loaned
You enjoyed life seldom had we heard you bemoaned.
We are not ready for a day like this cheerless day
But you knew and picked a day when to go away.
You are blessed and you will terribly be missed
By your family and to God we prayed and praised.
Like a dormant harp patiently waiting for the rhythmic sound
And the melodious string gravitating to melancholy bound
We said good-bye, farewell songs, breaking voices singing
