My Faith In God Is Now Stronger

by

Do not pull me down.

Pull me out from this hopelessness.

I no longer want to hide

Under a heavy stone of burden.

I sought to vanquish ill will

Dragging it to the ground.

I want to crush these awful feelings

Guilt and pain and of wanting more.

Move away hovering dark clouds,

To a place where the sun rules the shadow.

I no longer want to roam

On the concrete sidewalk of life.

Now I have the inner strength

And a sense of happiness enfolds,

And surely I am filled with hope,

Courage, joy and love will keep me buoyant.

I no longer wander like a traveling planet

I now have a path to follow.

The erratic spin of inexperience

Is now welded with a love that endures.

I am now filled with the sense of hopefulness,

The dark shadows now dissipated.

I can smell the faint fragrance of a flower

And hear again the tiniest sound of a song bird.

I want to toil and not waste precious time

And yet be a fanciful dreamer,

Grappling with a nagging question

And my faith in God is now even stronger.

As i read your poem, my mouth open wide slowly.  Wondering what to comment but could not get the exact words.  Lots of good things to say.  On the other hand, it mostly applies to my principles. From negative to posiitive. from bad to good or in short just being optimistic. esp the last part.

Hi Norman. Thank you for the 5 stars that made me feel as if I have accomplished something. Yes, I kept repeating to myself the good aspects such as faith, hope, love, courage and joy -- that way I am certain that God looks after me and us. Take good care and God bless to you and your family.
