The Boomerang In Life, Love and You will Receive Love

Every day you throw a boomerang
With all your strength as far as you can.
It cuts the still air and flew it must,
A boomerang has a mind and chooses a path.
It is funny, in life you will not know
When noble deeds and kind actions
Will one day return to you, but alas!
Unexpectedly, it appears out of the blue.
You did not turn your gaze away
When you saw a beggar plea,
"Can you spare a dollar for a cup of tea?"
You were not cynical and did not doubt what he said.
You crossed the street towards the direction of
A drunken man with an unsteady gait.
Not afraid he might ask you to hold him up
As you could smell a brew in his breathe.
It was a freezing Sunday morning
Waiting for your bus there was a man shivering
You called 911, and the medics came
He smiled at you and he knew he will be fine.
A child you knew asked you a favor.
She wants to become a nurse or a doctor
You responded to help at whatever cost
The child's desire and future not lost.
Your parents are in their golden age
But has no means to survive and live
In a comfortable home they call their own
You provided them, expecting nothing in return.
You will never know when the boomerang return
The effect of which is not immediately known
Rest assured that when you do good deeds
God above will take note of all these.
When you can inhale the fresh morning air.
When your knees do not ache and you are feeling fair
When you bend and there is no shooting pain
You are feeling the boomerang's return.
When you felt you were lost and weary
And someone guided and brought you home
Your heart is full of glee and you are humming a song
You are now harvesting and reaping what you have sown.
What will the boomerang bring back to you
And when, you will knot know
The good deeds you now have forgotten
Is coming back like a boomerang!
It is plain and simple you will comprehend
The love you gave you will receive love in return.
Extend your hand to help and you will be helped
Someone will assist and you felt the boomerang has returned.

the almost lack of forced rhyme lends this moral piece a deeper range and deeper meaning than it would have had, had you labored to rhyme;its often not until we return to heaven and view our lives that,in retrospect, we regret the kind word we missed to give or the act of warmth we avoided, skillfully, but you do remind us,here; nice job;paulHi Paul.Thank you so much for your kind words. Great work! I am a poet, a good one so I am told. Point is, whenever someone asks me to read their poem(s) I cringe. It is not often that I am delighted. Loved both the topic and the performance.
