Sugar Cookies
Sweet
Crunchy, colorful
Baker's creative delight
Children love munching on
Cookies!
Grazing Cow
Cow
Black, White
Grazing, chewing, jiggling
Jingle bells jingle bells
Content!
Santa Claus
Bearded
Oversized clothes
Ringing bells, listening
Children's countless toy list
Gifts!
Mistletoe
Bunched
Hanging high
Surprising tradition kept
Careful where you stand
Kissed!
Christmas Tree
Lighted
Colorful ornaments
Stood majestic tall
Cats underneath, knocking down
Christmas Toys
Toys
Nicely wrapped
Guessing, shaking, anticipating
Box under the tree
Mine!
Busy shopping
Cooking fancy dishes
No time poor girl
Me!
Buying Gifts
Impossible
List long
Not much time
To go to malls
Sigh!
White Christmas
Snowing
Cold, freezing
Bundled, overheated children
Sliding down the hill

Cinquain (pronounced SING-cane) is a poetic form like Haiku but cinquain has five lines in three different formats. Here, I am using one of the cinquain patterns consisting of one word for line l, two words for line 2, three words for line 3, four words for line 4 and one word for line 5.
The second pattern which I have used in my previous poems is: Line 1 is a noun; line 2 are two adjectives; Line 3 are words ending in ing; line 4 is a phrase and line 5 is another word for the noun.
The third pattern which I have used in my previous poems is: Line 1 has two syllables; Line 2 has four syllables; Line 3 has six syllables; Line 4 has eight syllables and Line 5 has two syllables.
You can have fun writing cinquain poems.
