How We Can Help the Earthquake Victims In Haiti

Posted: Tuesday, January 19, 2010

by Nenita Wells

It is now one week since we heard of the destruction caused by the earthquake in Haiti. The injured, the emergency workers and people of Haiti are in dire need of food, water, shelter, medical assistance and prayers.

We can help by donating to the relief efforts for the earthquake victims in Haiti through different local churches and charitable organizations. The following is a list of some of the organizations:

" Father Jean Jadotte, associate pastor of Miami's Notre Dame D'Haiti parish, sends these prayer intentions for Haiti.

We are praying for hope despite this situation, that even as we face darkness, people may see a pinpoint of light.

We pray for families.

We pray for the greater conscience among everyone not just in Haiti but all over that we must do something to help.

We pray for a spirit of thanksgiving for international agencies for their good heart and good faith.

We pray for the relief workers to have a spirit of patience and perseverance.

We pray for those who at this time are in search of meaning in their lives and peace."
